Rural Voices, through consultants Carol Gott and Jane Wilson, is training people in communities across Canada to be facilitators of the CARS process. CARS facilitators can be any community member or community professional with an interest in improving services in their community. CARS facilitators will develop the skills to support community members to work towards improving access to services in their local community. Facilitators will help their community identify leadership, develop a vision and move that vision forward through collective community action and change.
CARS training packages are individually designed for each community in response to their specific needs. Attention is given to organizing the best training format to respond to the training needs of local community members. Funding for CARS training support is provided through Rural Voices project funding where possible, or by individual funding arrangements with programs, governments and/or communities.
